PermaMama is located on the sunny left bank of the Savinja River above Rimske Toplice, not far from Laško and Celje. The 4 hectares of uphill land are mostly wooded.
It is intersected by
- a grove of perennial herbs
- an old meadow orchard with apple trees

- an outbuilding converted into a friendly social space
- an outdoor kitchen with a fireplace just above the field
PermaMama brings what grows here to the kitchen in the wooden house, where she makes edible delicacies.
Društvo Zelenko
Ines
Skubic from the Zelenko Association is a great expert on nature, herbs,
medicinal plants and mushrooms. She is the driving force behind the
association, which brings together all those who are interested in nature and
its delicacies. She uses seasonal ingredients to make excellent preparations,
from teas, herbal salts, pestos, oils, tinctures, as well as natural cosmetics.
Her porcino pate is also excellent. The association organises a wide variety of
events for a wide audience, including foraging expeditions and various training
courses for those who wish to further their knowledge in this field.
Ekokmetija Habjan
Where the hustle
and bustle of the city ends, the hilly green area begins, under the backdrop of
the Old Castle in Celje lies the village of Zagrad, where the Habjan Eco Farm
is located.
The buildings on
the site of the current farm can be seen on a map dating back to 1750, which
means that the land on the farm site has been cultivated for centuries. More
recently, the farmer has been raising sheep and growing vegetables, and the old
plantations of apple and plum trees have been cultivated, with the addition of
peach and pear trees.
Vegetables are
varied and change a little from year to year, but lettuce, butternut squash,
tomatoes, peppers, courgettes, cucumbers, cabbage, garlic and shallots
predominate.
The produce is
sold at home and we also supply nurseries, schools and shops.
Their vision is to become the
leading organic food producer in the local area.
Their mission is to produce quality food that is accessible to a
wider range of consumers while ensuring that the land is fertile and cultivated
for future generations.
Šili testenine, izdelava testenin in peciva, Gregor Šilc s.p.
Their home has
always smelled of fresh bread, cake and biscuits, traditional Slovenian food,
but prepared in a new and fresh way. On annual trips to Italy, they learned
that pasta is not just a quick meal. They are art, they are food for the soul.
They entered the
market in 2013 under the name Shili Pasta.
They use high
quality natural ingredients from controlled production.
The basis for the
pasta is always durum wheat, which is a characteristic golden colour, and
fresh, pastured eggs. The range of colours, shapes and flavours is already very
wide and is expanding every year.
A special feature
of pasta production is the natural drying process.
The pasta comes
out of the machine, passes through hands that carefully inspect and place it on
a wooden sieve, and then goes through a natural drying process that takes up to
48 hours.
This gives off a
wonderful smell and taste of homeliness that is preserved until the pasta is
packaged, opened and eaten.
They are
constantly updating their knowledge and are always keen to listen to their
customers' wishes.
They are aware that they have high quality
pasta, which can only be maintained through boutique production and sales. The
Šili family makes everything by hand and with heart.
Kmetija Vrhivšek
More than 150
years ago, the Vrhivšek farm, or its farmers at the time, found their place in
the sun in the small village of Lindek above Frankolovo, located between Celje
and Slovenske Konjice. Their ancestors built an outbuilding next to their
house, which today's farmers are eagerly renovating and adding new features. In
addition to these buildings, the Vrhivšek Farm also includes arable fields, a meadow,
an old orchard and some woodland.
They do not
pollute the environment and the quality of the food they produce is important
to them, which is why they grow their crops without the use of plant protection
products. Their
fields are used to grow all the vegetables they need to eat as a family (and
enough for the visitors to the training courses), industrial hemp, ancient
cereals and herbs, which they use to help balance their bodies. In all this,
they rely on the tried and tested solutions of our grandmothers and on common
farmer's common sense.
Drobtinka
The story of drobTinka starts when Tina decided to
open her own business with personalised cakes, pies and treats, with the aim of
creating goodies that would make other people happy, if only for a moment. But
it wasn't just about food, she created treats with the best ingredients to fill
the body and soul.
More and more people with various illnesses and
allergies began to discover the benefits of her delicacies. Until one day, a
good friend of her husband asked her to make him a nut-free raw cake... Her new
goal was to find a new ingredient that was completely allergen-free and would
replace nuts. And then she found ground almonds. She ordered a small quantity
from a foreign website and made a cake for their friend, completely
allergen-free. She was so impressed by the goodness of the almonds that she got
her husband Grega to quit his job, and from then on their business journey
together began.
They thought of a product that could be used every
day, not just for occasions like cakes. The product had to be different,
without allergens, as they were touched by the enthusiasm of their customers
with different food allergies. Granola! A spark was created and from there
their passion leads them to the point where they realise a granola made from
ground almonds. This is how they attract attention and become part of the Start
Slovenia project. This leads them to bigger shops and the possibility of exporting
the granola to foreign markets.
Since that day, they have been creating more and
more products based on almonds. In their offer you will find snacks, granola,
porridges, spreads, bars, flakes, flour, oil, whole almonds,... They also add
other ingredients that they use in their production. All are allergen-free.Kmetija

The history of the farm goes back a long way, with a
long tradition that has been handed down from generation to generation. In the
1990s, however, the farm decided to convert to cattle and milk production. At the end of 2007, the farm was modernised
with a robot for milking the cows. The milk they produce is of exceptional
quality, which is why their homemade dairy products are full and rich in
flavour. In addition to milk, cheese and cottage cheese, they also offer whey
and albumin curd. The farm offers guided tours to groups who have booked a
visit, during which visitors are shown and demonstrated the modern method of
computer-controlled milking with a robot. They also deliver milk and dairy
products themselves to customers in the local area, as well as to nurseries and
schools. They have won numerous awards and prizes for their products.
